Add a CommentI really enjoyed the language of this book. The characters were very well written. As a parent, I enjoyed the fact that the parents in the story were not made out to be complete idiots. Completely sad but worth the journey.
The title of this book is The Fault In Our Stars, not the Fault Of. Please change it. Thank you, this book is the awesomest ever!
This audiobook is outstanding! Narrator Kate Rudd did an amazing job bringing Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters to life. I felt their personalities much more than when I read the print version - how genuinely cool Gus and Hazel are, as characters. I seem destined to try to read this book in less than optimal circumstances - the print version while at the gym (not easy to sob and still maintain a heartbeat in the aerobic zone), and this audio version mostly during my commute, the tears and snot streaming, and then having to squeegee myself off to walk into work. It seems that, no matter the format, I can't help falling into this book and becoming overly invested in the story, characters and language.
A wonderful book, beautifully read by Kate Rudd.
TIME Magazine awarded #1 Best Book of 2012. A great story from a great storyteller. Check out John Green's vlogbrothers.
A third of the way into this book, I was starting to wonder what all the fuss was about because the story wasn't leaving an impression on me at all. I even felt that some parts were tedious. But I have to admit that the characters are well written and the more I listened, the more these characters came to life for me and I started to really care for them. This is the point where I started to enjoy the book. You really get pulled into the lives and emotions of this young couple. There are many notable qualities to this book and the audio was well done.
