Interesting enough characters and overall fantasy world. However the writing was pretty underwhelming, it really dragged the story down. Oh and I never got a clear image of Alander in my head, maybe because the image the book implied was so odd it never stuck. The most endearing thing I'll take away from this was the bit in the authors note when Dolamore shares she wrote this book with studio ghibli movie soundtracks on repeat.

A pretty good book. A bit confusing in some parts, but overall nice imagery.

This was a good book. I found that some parts were confusing but other than that it was a great love story!

lovely story for a teen or whoever wants to think why not?

This book was really good. Kind of ruined the image I had of mermaids before the book but it was an intriguing idea and the story(once it got going) really snowballed into a fast paced read that I thoughroughly enjoyed :)
