The continuing saga of Marty and Clark and their family started in Book 1, Love Comes Softly.

I highly recommend you read Book 3, Loves Long Journey, which precedes this one. It is the story of Marty and Clark's daughter as she leaves their home and travels with her new husband by wagon train to this home and perfectly sets the stage for the reunion that takes place in this one. Plus, in this one, we get to see the results of all the hard work and sacrifices made in Book 3. I view the two Books (3 & 4) as companion stories, although they are both stand-alone novels.
They include several Bible quotations and a Christian viewpoint. Suitable for all ages.

Thank you for taking the time to read my comments.

PS. Much different and highly superior to the Hallmark movie. LL
