A thrilling new series soars above the competition and redefines middle-grade fantasy fiction for a new generation!

The seven dragon tribes have been at war for generations, locked in an endless battle over an ancient, lost treasure. A secret movement called the Talons of Peace is determined to bring an end to the fighting, with the help of a prophecy -- a foretelling that calls for great sacrifice.

Five dragonets are collected to fulfill the prophecy, raised in a hidden cave and enlisted, against their will, to end the terrible war.

But not every dragonet wants a destiny. And when the select five escape their underground captors to look for their original homes, what has been unleashed on the dragon world may be far more than the revolutionary planners intended . . .

A war has been raging on the land of Phyrria for over 20 years. Hidden underneath a mountain is the legendary 'Dragonets of Destiny', it's their job to bring their land to peace once again. This is the first instalment to an amazing book series, featuring the perspective of a Mudwing dragonet by the name of Clay. How will he and his friends deal with the harsh war ridden world, with a dangerous Queen, finding the truth of his family, and finding a possible new friend with a rare ability? Read and find out! Wings of Fire is a wonderous series for anyone interested in fantasy and dragons, the story can at times deal with violent themes and can be quiet scary to children of younger ages. The book itself is very easy to read and would most like be preferred for ages 13 and up. 5/5 stars - Karigan, SAPL Read It & Review Contributor

I will read the whole book series, but I can't see how this is a children's book. Despite it being an easy read the adult dragons are all extremally abusive to the young dragons, mentally and physically, like it's normal to be treated in this way.

I absolutely love the series, but my question is, why do they only have 2 copies of a DIGITAL book? i have to wait 2 weeks just to read a copy of a digital book. it just makes no sense.

This Series is soo good!! I definitely recommend this to anyone who likes adventures, actions, and friendships. it's mostly about this five different types of dragons fighting together to stop a war. But there is soo much more, each dragon has their own story and is in their own POV. He is protective and nice but most of all he Loves FOOD.

Overall, it's an awesome book, however I feel like the book kind of drags along a little bit. It uses personation to describe the dragons and it includes a little section on each of the different types of dragons in the story to aid your imagination as you read it.

Frightening or Intense Scenes: This series may seem fluffy, but don't let that fool you. There are some dark themes and scenes that get devolved throughout the series. Not recommended for anyone under the age of 12.

Do you like books with dragons, prophecies, and war? If you do this book is for you. I highly recommended it.

The seven dragon tribes have been in war for years. There is a prophecy that says five dragonets will come and chose a new SandWing queen (Blister, Blaze or Burn) since the death of the sisters’ mother, Queen Oasis. The dragonets have been hidden in a cave for their whole life’s’ and are supposed to come out and save the world at the 20th year of the war.

Tsunami (the SeaWing dragonet) thinks the dragonets should escape from there guardian and save the world sooner and find their family.

Clay (the MudWing dragonet) is not so sure about leaving the cave and guardian. Dragons in Pyrrhia would love to get their claws on the dragonets and kill them to ruin the prophecy.

Will Clay chose to follow the prophecy and wait two more long years or make this own destiny?

Join this claw fighting adventure with Clay and the rest of the dragonets! This series has five more books. Keep an eye out for “The lost Heir”
If you like this book you may also like “Warriors”. Tui T. Sutherland (the author of Wings of Fire) is one of the six authors of the “Warriors” series.

I hope you enjoy this book!

The dragonets are coming, they're coming to save the day. They're here to fight, they know what's right, the dragonets hooray!

the dragonets of the prophecy have lived in a cave their whole lives, never experiencing the outside world. Apart from a few objects their guardians bring back they don't even know what it looks like! One day Clay, Glory, Tsunami, Sunny and Starflight decide to escape. Little do they know that this one decision will change their lives forever.

Follow clay as he escapes from his cave, runs in to the queen of the sky wings and even meets a dragon with burning scales!
