Add a CommentThe movie that best captures the essence of the corresponding novel. This particular movie is well paced and touches on many of the moments that make the novel special. It also holds up well considering that it was released in 2001. A great film to watch that truly feels magical.
Awesome movie with funny actresses
Awesome and so cool the end is always really exiting and a bit scary
Snape is exactly what I expected! Very Snape-ish. Great movie! But it might be a little scary for younger people, considering that the kids were almost always in danger and the Voldemort/Quirrel merged heads bit. Overall great movie but the books were still better.
Rating: 4 1/2
This DVD does not play correctly - it keeps skipping.
AWESOME! Content is great, but don't you agree that the characters look kind of seven year old-ish? Aren't they 11 for first years?
Chris Columbus brought to life a world, and I couldn't ask for it to have been done better.
This was a fantastic movie to watch and I really enjoyed it. Although it did not capture all the aspects of the book, it was so exciting to see all the words from the story come alive on a screen. With great casting and amazing animations, this movie is definitely worth watching for anyone who has read the book and wants to see a better vision of it, or maybe for someone who wants to get the Harry Potter story without reading. With realistic settings, characters, and effects, this book is worthy of a good watch, or maybe two. I would rate this movie 4/5 stars for its awesome execution.
