I am reading the Jack Ryan series in order. I was surprised by the jump in time on this one. Ryan is retired as is his wife. Jack Jr. is now an adult as are the Caruso twins. Not to give anything away, but there is an operation in London. Clancy never mentions the presence of tv/security monitors. Usually, his in so detailed, but in this case, a glaring error, as everyone knows that there are a lot of security cameras in London.

A quick and exciting read from Clancy!

See Jack Ryan Jr in action with a new security organization-The Campus, that must deal with a volatile cross border plot.

I found the book quite bland, from the plot to the characters. These teeth had no bite

Very boring - virtually no action just page after page of explanations and travelogue.

A far step down from some of his better material in the past; Clancy inexplicably plays around with his own continuity and timing to put Jack Ryan's son into the midst of a top secret outfit.

I thought this book was garbage. I'm into this genre, but the plot line was TOTALLY unbelievable. The plot was so unbelievable that the word fiction isn't descriptive enough. This was a very lazily and poorly written book.

Also the dialogue was juvenile and frankly terrible. If I had a dollar for every time the Clancy writes "Roger that, bro" I wouldn't have to worry about my 401k recovering. Total thumbs down!!
