Maude Barlow is my hero! With little to be proud of these days as Canadians, she is a shining light. She is sought after the world over for lectures and consultation, and been an advisor to the UN. This is an important book on a lot of levels. We are so pressed with so many issues that need our attention these days, that some just give up being overwhelmed. As far as I can see there are two issues that must be held as imperative, democracy and water. Everything else smart, hard working people can take on for themselves. Without those two, we don't stand a chance.
What is happening to our world's global water supply? Is it a human right or a commodity on the open market? Maude Barlow delves into these questions in a most provocative manner.
