The artwork is really great. I didn't really get into the story much but probably because of the rhyming.
I love this series of books.
This is the newest in the series to 'Bats at the Library" and "Bats at the Beach".
Cute pictures and good story all by a bat's point of view.
Even there are pages you have to read upside down
The bats are back and they've formed a band! Rhyme sets the rhythm for this special night of fun and dance, and there is a little bit for everyone. A soulful ballad brings tears, a performer entertains the little ones, and a chorus brings them all together. Each genre elicits a different reaction from the bats, but overall there are bits of amusement to be found in every illustration. In particular some of the makeshift instruments these cheerful and bright-eyed critters play are quite clever. Lighting sets the mood throughout; the bats are inside, but they are still night creatures, so the delivery of this is all the more important. Fun, whimsical, cute, this is another excellent addition to the series.
Another good rhyming story with bats by Brian Lies. the story was well received at picture book time
