An interesting cyber-thriller about a team on a mission to track down a hacker responsible for an nuclear plant explosion before he strikes again. My husband assured me that the computer-speak was not all just gibberish--much of the technology was realistic and plausibly-explained, which I appreciate even though I would not have known better.

Watchable thriller by Michael Mann. When it comes to cyber crime and how criminals actually manipulate things presented on screen I'm suspending belief of their cyber explanations. Lots of cyber gibberish to me. To me as long as it moves the action which it did. In Michael Mann's movies it's basic bad guys vs good guys with a showdown ending.

Terrible movie !!! I had a hard time believing that this was the same director who directed Heat and Collateral. The technical details were criminally wrong. even worse than swordfish . It seemed to be inspired by the malware attack on the Iranian Nuclear reactors , using USB keys and similar makes of PLC etc but on the whole , cheesy beyond belief.

Is Michael Mann's film making getting worse? Seemed to hit a high crescendo with Heat and its been all down hill since. I thought this was badly written, badly paced, and badly acted. The whole time you feel like you are watching actors acting in a movie. At no time was I uncritical, did I suspend my disbelief and just get caught up in what was going on. I kept reflecting on the terrible script. In the end I just didn't care. Didn't even know it was Michael Mann until the end credits and that just made me more disappointed because I expect more out of him. I mean you might as well watch the Miami Vice remake, its better (and that is saying a lot because that is a truly awful film.)

I loved this movie. In fact I ran out and bought the DVD on the first day of issue. To all the negative reviews I can only ask if we saw the same film? The action kept me on the edge of my seat, the leading lady was a knockout, the plot was believable, what more could you want . Yes I understand that Wei Tang has an accent, here's a hint, that's because she is a real Asian actress not some LA starlet with a dark wig, makeup and spirit gum on her eyes. This move had a fair bit of realism. Even the UNIX commands that could be seen on screen were plausible. Overall, it felt like a breath of fresh air compared to other so-called cyber thrillers.

Shallow
Phony, full of cheap clich├ęs and lame mellow dramas. Poor directorial job trying to recreate something like
Michael Caton-Jones' The Jackal with Richard Gere and Bruce Willis, though unfortunately no where near that one.
Also underestimating viewers is the worst thing producers and the director can do and on this one they didn't hesitate a bit to do so.

Boring with logic flaws too numerous to count! Worst movie we've seen recently.

Lien: I'm sorry for what happened to you.
Hathaway: Well, don't be. I'm not fishing for sympathy, here. I did the crime, I'm doing the time. Time isn't doing me.
Lien: What's that mean?
Hathaway: I do my own time, not the institution's. See, to hold on to who you are in there, you dedicate yourself to your program. You work out on your body and your mind.
