The first book in a sexy and sophisticated series of erotica, with a new twist: this time, women control their fantasies and men will do anything to satisfy them.
Cassie Robichaud is thirty-five and widowed. After a life filled with disappointments, her days are dull and gray: she waits tables at a rundown café in New Orleans, and every night she heads home to a one-bedroom apartment alone. But when she discovers a notebook left behind by a mysterious woman, Cassie's world will never be the same. The notebook's shocking and scandalous contents lead her to S.E.C.R.E.T., an underground society dedicated to helping women realize their wildest, darkest, and most intimate sexual fantasies. The S.E.C.R.E.T. motto: No judgment. No limits. No shame. Cassie soon embarks on a tantalizing and unpredictable erotic journey, completing ten fantasy-steps toward sexual fulfillment--discovering acceptance, courage, surrender, and more--with gorgeous men in rapturous scenarios beyond her imagination. As she is set free from her inhibitions, the satisfaction and bliss she experiences bring her a new confidence that transforms her forever. Equal parts scintillating, liberating, and emotionally powerful, S.E.C.R.E.T. is a world where fantasy becomes reality.

I enjoyed this book very much. I loved the story line and the exotic Adventures.

I would put this book in the 50 Shades of Grey category for its blatant sexism and rape culture. This book claims to be "liberating" but what is liberating about coercing women into sexual situations, giving no space to queer people, and never letting women be anything but submissive? While the book claims that the women have power over their bodies, in action, that promise is forgotten. This book should be read with a large grain of salt.

A great read! Great storyline and intriguing idea to have in society today. The main character Cassie is a very relatable character. I enjoyed it and the sequels more than fifty shades of grey. The writing is better and once I started reading couldn't stop. Unlike fifty shades. (I barely made it through the first one). Recommended to a friend and they couldn't put it down either. And bonus the author is Canadian!

An excellent read. Good plotting, and well written (unlike 50 Shades). It comes across quite vividly that Ms. Adeline (pseudonym) is a professional writer. It's true that it doesn't have the hardcore feel that many seem to want now-a-days, but that isn't necessary in a well written novel. I agree with Nutty7688 (Mar 28, 2013) a S.E.C.R.E.T. Society is needed in today's world-especially in western culture where there are so many hang-ups.

An interesting story line for sure. There were some sections that were stronger than others. Overall I enjoyed the book a great deal.

This book was recommended to me by a clerk in a bookstore. I can honestly say it was not what I was expecting, and that is not necessarily a bad thing. For ladies only, enjoy!

The only thing I can say about this book is once I started reading it, I couldn't stop until I was finished. 5 stars for me! Fast read.

I did enjoy the storyline but wished it was more in depth. It felt a bit rushed. I look forward to the sequel.
