Batman: Arkham Knight is the last edition in the, Batman: Arkham series. The game has you play as Batman as you try to solve mysteries, follow leads and beat up the numerous criminals infesting the city. The game's main villains are the scarecrow and a mysterious new criminal who goes by the name, the Arkham Knight. The visuals for the game are pretty good, nice looking cutscenes and character animations, as well as detailed environments. The story for the game is quite interesting, the mystery behind the Arkham Knight, in addition to a lot of extra side story lines for you to explore, which is how you encounter most of the big name villains like, Croc, Ra's Al Ghul, etc. The gameplay is still very fun and engaging, the combat feels neat and satisfying as blows feel like they have impact, there are sections of the game that feel tedious and kind of slow, but other than that, I thought the gameplay of the game is still very solid as it is basically identical to the other Arkham games. If you liked the past Arkham games and are wanting to see how the series concludes, then Batman: Arkham Knight is a no-brainer for you to get. Rating: 4 out of 5. @ToBeRisen of the Hamilton Public Library

Batman: Arkham Knight is a video game released in 2015. As part of a terrific series, this game doesn’t fail to disappoint its audience. It involves several iconic characters, such as Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman, Barbara Gordon, Poison Ivy, The Joker, Two-Face, Scarecrow, Penguin, Harley Quinn, and others. The graphics and animations of the game are great. Moreover, the action sequences and the gameplay involving fights are complemented by the intriguing story as well as the set-up of the plot. Clearly, the creators have put in a lot of effort to create a game that not only looks appealing, but is also fun to play. I think that the entire series is loved by the majority of people, and this game symbolizes the achievements of the developers. I would recommend the game to anyone interested in action and I would give it a rating of 4.5 stars. @Riveting_Reviews of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

Its really sad to find out that Arkham Knight is the final game in the Batman Arkham series. Batman was really getting more intense and realistic there. Rocksteady kept on adding new and cool features in each Batman Arkham game. I guess since this is the last game they will make in the Arkham series, Rocksteady really wanted this game to be so realistic and remembered. So realistic that they finally added the Batmobile in the game. I always wondered why they didn't do that in the earlier games. This game had the most unexpected features. For example, the new batsuit that came during the gameplay allowed Batman to take out multiple enemies in a split second. There are new villains introduced in this game such as Professor Pyg, the cold call killer and more. Side missions are really fun and creatively designed.

You'll groan through the wedged in batmobile sections but everything else makes this game worth playing.

Since you're grabbing it from the library I recommend dropping twenty bucks on the season pass and getting access to all the bonus stories focusing on the rest of the bat-family [only play them after the main game though 'cause spoilers]

As a gamer myself, I expect a lot from new games and hope for the best quality and content. This game did not fail me, but there were a few things which I did and didn’t like. Batman series have been okay so far but this game tops them all. The game starts out rapid going up, slows down mid way and goes back up rapidly again which leaves you with a satisfying feeling. Of course, the enemy as arrived and Batman is here to safe the day, now there are tanks more guns to choose from and more options as to how you play. Also their were new characters added, but weren’t explained who they were to the best ability. Which left you confused as to where they came from. Although for those whom know the story of batman know these characters but those who don’t are left to wonder who are they. Anyway, the pace of the game goes by really quickly which I wish could have been slowed down for us to enjoy more. What they did do correctly though, was set up the way the story was brought it slowly so it was spoiled for you before the actually part happened. So you didn’t see what was coming next. As for gameplay, I love how they added the Batmobile! They should’ve done that from the beginning. Also the amount of damage the batmobile can do to the upcoming enemies are utterly amazing. I rate this game 9/10!

Easily the best story in the Arkham series but my least favourite game of the bunch almost exclusively because of the batmobile. Rocksteady overused it and forces it upon you at every turn. Core gameplay is still great but the batmobile really hurt my enjoyment of the game.
