"The lunar colony is slowly winding down, like a small town circumvented by a new super highway. As our hero, the mooncop, makes his daily rounds, his beat grows ever smaller, the population dwindles. A young girl runs away, an old lady loses her dog, an automaton wanders off from the Museum of the Moon. Mooncop is equal parts funny and melancholy. capturing essential truths about humanity and making this a story of the past, present, and future, all in one. Like his Guardian and New Scientist strips, as well as his previous graphic novel, Goliath, Mooncop is told with Tom Gauld's distinctive, matter-of-fact storytelling and dry humour--an approach that has earned him fans around the world."--Back cover.

Simple. Sparse. But also funny and beautiful.

How can such a sparse, quiet little graphic novel evoke such powerful feelings so quickly? Beautiful, and worth every minute.

Space donuts.

Sparse, deep and beautiful.

Raymond Carver in space, pretty much-- just a person, doing a job, pretty much alone, trying to hang on. Nice lowkey illustrations and a steady infusion of dry humor make this one a light, enjoyable 15 minute read.

This is a deeper book than you might expect, and it's absolutely worth the time to read.

A wonderful, short, melancholy story with a slightly heart warming end. It feels simple, but really has a lot to say hidden in its panels.

Deceivingly simple yet beautiful illustration work supports an elegant funny/sad tale.
