SPACE is the blending of fact with fiction about America's - indeed humanity's - space race. Since earliest man, the moon and stars have held a unique fascination for us, and Michener covers it well.

SPACE (Ballantine, $4.95) is an exhaustive account of America's space program. In it, Michener spins an intriguing tale of political maneuvering and personal ambition that blends fiction with fact as only he can. If, after reading SPACE, you don't want to become an astronaut, you weren't paying attention.

Michener spins a great yarn with SPACE. It's a fantasy driven story based in fact even flat-earthers will find enjoyable, and if you don't want to fly to the moon after reading it, check your pulse, man.

SPACE (Ballantine, $4.95) is an account of America's space program, delivered in classic Michener form. Blending fiction with fact, he portrays the men and women of NASA as being motivated as much by personal ambition as by their sense of national duty. If you don't want to become an astronaut after reading SPACE, you're among the few.
