I love the dynamic between coach and his wife. There are far too many shows on tv now where people get divorced and remarried so often it's ridiculous. While I enjoyed season 1 and 2 more than season 3, it was enjoyable to watch.

Consider this show a cross between Mad Men and Glee. Sometimes it beats you over the head with the moral, like Glee. Also far too many of the characters are annoying teenagers. Other times, the show reveals more by what the characters don't say, like Mad Men. Also, even your favourite characters let you down sometimes -- don't make people into heroes if you want to watch this show!

In a 90-minute feature film there's not enough time to become really bored with the characters. However, on episodic TV a lot of the characters are with you a really long time. It can drive you up a wall if you don't think that someone who constantly refers to himself in the third person is charming. Go away. It would be a jerky joke to edit together all the times another character goes to the referigerator and pulls out a cold brew. Is this supposed to be character-revealing? The guy's a teenage wetbrain loser. Who pays for all that beer anyway? And in a town that celebrates running and throwing as it's crowning achievements, who needs a guy in a wheelchair pulling everybody down. Sayonara, Bub.

just finished this season and it was amazing. Friday Night Lights never disappoints. Even though characters leave along the way, or a lot of changes happen, it still stays true to its nature. I don't know if I'll be saying that by the time I get to fourth or fifth season, but I'm savoring it for now. amazing show <3
