Haunted by trauma from her past and compounded by a string of eerie coincidences, Adelaide grows increasingly certain that something bad is going to befall her family. After spending a tense beach day with their friends, Adelaide and her family return to their vacation home. When darkness falls, the Wilsons discover the silhouette of four figures holding hands as they stand in the driveway. The endearing American family faces doppelgangers of themselves.

Jordan Peele knows how to write compelling, unique, and eerie plots. I'll give it to him for this one, "Us" is truly freaky and really makes you think more than typical horror films do. My only complaints are a few plot holes and unanswered questions. However - is that not the beauty of horror, though? A lot of that horror comes from not knowing all the answers. Put it this way: you will either love it or hate it.

Don't waste your time. Way to many holes in the plot, unanswered questions, and a poorly written script.

Us is another one of Jordan Peeles masterpiece that is easily one of the best movies of 2019! Metaphors are sprinkled throughout the entire movie, and it is only as the movie finishes where you can decode the symbolism. The story is told in a way that is constantly pushing you to the edge of your seat, and it has many plot twist that are totally unthought of. The thing that I like about Us is how the movie is based off of regular life, but then turns sinister in a snap. I wouldn’t say that Us is overly scary, but there definitely are graphic scenes and heart-stopping moments. I can totally see Us setting a new high standard in the thriller and horror genre and like I said above this is one of the best movies of 2019! 5/5

Us is one of the very few horror films I’ve seen where I thoroughly enjoyed the plot. Although the twist ending was predictable for my writer mind, I enjoyed the execution and thrill of it all. While terrifying, it wasn’t too scary that I couldn’t watch and enjoy the story or the technical aspects of it. I was able to pay attention to the cinematography and storyline, as well as start to understand the characters. The actors were very well chosen and played the two versions of their characters seamlessly. Rating: 4/5

An excellent progression from Get Out. People look for realism and logic in horror films and there just isn't any. Look for weird humour instead: Lupita Nyong'o saying We're Americans! when asked who they are, or Elizabeth Moss in a sort of anti-Handmaid's Tale role putting lipstick on lasciviously, then cutting her face with scissors in a parody of face lifting. Truly entertaining most of the time.

You people who don't know horror, please stop watching and rating these movies...you don't know what you are talking about. This was an excellent horror movie and a future classic. Well done!

Jordan Peele made a fine horror/social commentary film in "Get Out". "Us" has neither obvious social commentary or humour (unless you think the idea of a pathetic black father humourous.) You could call it a dime-store interpretive cross between George Romero's "Dawn of the Dead" and Don Siegel's "Invasion of the Body Snatchers". If you want the idea of an internal id, you would be better off watching Polanski's "Repulsion" or Depalma's "Sisters".

Thought provoking and a horror movie? This combination surprised me and kept me on the edge of my seat as the plot twist played out.
