As seen on The Today Show! The new exhilarating romance from The New York Times bestselling author of The Proposal, a Reese Witherspoon x Hello Sunshine Book Club Pick! Maddie and Theo have two things in common: 1. Alexa is their best friend 2. They hate each other After an "oops, we made a mistake" night together, neither one can stop thinking about the other. With Alexa's wedding rapidly approaching, Maddie and Theo both share bridal party responsibilities that require more interaction with each other than they're comfortable with. Underneath the sharp barbs they toss at each other is a simmering attraction that won't fade. It builds until they find themselves sneaking off together to release some tension when Alexa isn't looking, agreeing they would end it once the wedding is over. When it's suddenly pushed up and they only have a few months left of secret rendezvouses, they find themselves regretting that the end is near. Two people this different can't possibly have a connection other than the purely physical, right? But as with any engagement with a nemesis, there are unspoken rules that must be abided by. First and foremost, don't fall in love.

I love Jasmine Guillory's heroines. They are each feminine on their own terms while being clear about what they want and are willing to accept in romantic relationships. Super fun summer escape reading!

This was my first read by Jasmine Guillory although I have had her books on my TBR list as soon as I read the plot summary of "The Wedding Date." The banter between Theo and Maddie was entertaining, but they spent a majority of the book having secret sex and eating pizza. There was just not enough of a plot for me. Not enough wedding planning drama and too many booty calls.

I was discussing Jasmine Guillory’s books recently with a friend I’ve gotten hooked on them, and we both agreed that she is some sort of magician, because while her novels tend to have very little actual plot (and, say what you want about romcoms and romance novels in general, they do require conflict to work!) they are so juicy and readable and fun that you don’t care. This was no exception to that – nothing much happens to the characters, but it sure is fun to watch them banter and eat and fall in love nonetheless.

First, re-read the other two. I know you're going to anyway. This one takes place from the middle-ish of The Wedding Date, and continues up to the wedding. Carlos and Nik from The Proposal make appearances, but are not major characters. Maddie and Theo will make you laugh, cheer for sexy times, swoon with warm fuzzies, and yell in frustration. This is such a fun read!
