This is a book to love. It's an adventure around Boston, a mystery, a little bit of romance. Characters are older, younger, quirky, witty and real. It was just plain, outrageous fun. I'd put it in the realm of "Where'd You Go, Bernadette?"

I just loved this one! A gothic "Ready Player One" --a city-wide scavenger hunt and competitors who all have something to hide. Its a great exploration of friendship and grief and a beautiful love letter to the city of Boston. I highly recommend it.

I really, really loved this.

It is, simultaneously, a madcap clue-filled puzzle treasure hunt spread out over Boston, and also a rumination on the way we settle into adult lives that may not fit our true selves and whether it's possible to redirect midstream to something that feels more authentic. And it manages to be really good on both fronts.

Great writing, but not at all what I expected from the blurb copy. I note one reader was disappointed because she thought it was going to be horror—the blurb says it’s “deliciously funny.” That’s what I expected. A light read. No. There’s humor in it, but it skews very close to horror. I felt a huge letdown because it was much darker than I expected. So though I liked the characters—so real!—and the story, I’m not sure where the author’s other books would land on my to-read list.
