Lucy Lawless stars as retired cop Alexa Crowe. With her old boss regularly asking for her insight on cold cases and a young police data-analyst eager to be mentored--whether Alexa wants to or not--Alexa can't seem to stop solving crime. Tenacious and unapologetic, Alexa brings her dry wit and brash style as she contends with a suspicious death at a competitive culinary school, a murder in an exclusive cycling club, a woman who fell from the balcony of a male escort's apartment, a locked-room mystery, and more.

NEVER have I been disappointed in anything 'Acorn' has put out until this insipid trash. Boring, filled with unrelated material just to fill space. Actors are mediocre, plots are figured out from the git-go, unimaginative with no inspiration or vision. Pit-u-ee!

Enjoyed this detective series, Lucy lawless excels, however the music from this series was the win for me. I found all the tracks on Tunefind and love most of them.

Very predictable TV mystery series with a little beefcake and romp. Everything tied up neat and tidy at the end of each episode. Very "meh".
We prefer something with more grit and realism. This isn't "bad" per se, just not our taste.

Ex-cop aides old boss in solving murder cases as a way to work through the death of her husband. Gradual development of main four characters includes their relationships to each other. Police techy played by Ebony Vagulans and cop Lucy Lawless reveal clues and process for solutions. No case is too complex nor to obvious so entertainment is the end result.

Lucy Lawless looks fabulous, and this series is her best work yet, IMO. She plays a retired policewoman/widow who is pulled in to help her old police mate solve cold cases. A IT wiz police employee played by a adorable spunky young lady, helps her investigate the cold cases. Lucy plays the grieving widow just right, melancholy memories at odd moments, but never does she wallow in her grief. I enjoyed the quirky characters, loved the cat, and the stories were entertaining. I look forward to future seasons.
