In his latest highly acclaimed Spenser novel, Robert B. Parker takes readers into the murky big-city underground where Spenser undertakes an intense search for a beautiful, missing prostitute, and finds himself traveling amidst the sleaze of Times Square where sex is a commodity, and young girls are the currency. Spenser once again a knight in faded armor expending a lot of energy to save one of his previous "projects" . He gets several people killed by digging where he likely shouldn't be and does show that the villains are not the whores or the pimps but the johns and perverts that make it all possible. Does any thinking human really want to sell themselves on the street? The oldest profession is a very nasty profession for all.
