I loved watching This Is Us because of how genuine the story is. It showcases adoption, fat-shaming, racism and so many more social problems. I believe that anyone watching the show could relate to it because of its dynamic. The story highlights a loving couple Jack Pearson (played by Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca Pearson (played by Mandy Moore) and their children; it shares the family's journey from the birth of their kids to their kids as adults in present day society. The story always switches back and forth to different decades of their children's lives which I find special to watch; many TV shows don’t do this as they’re always in one time era. The series was created by Dan Fogelman who also wrote the movie Crazy Stupid Love starring Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling. This Is Us is a great family watch together series because I feel that it's appropriate for most audiences and it’s very heartfelt. I would give the first season 4/5 stars because I really enjoyed watching the story unravel through every episode. The cast also brought the story to life in scenes that were playful and others that were serious.

This is Us had been showing up in my Recommendations List for a very long time so I finally decided to give it a shot. The first episode starts off with a young couple rushing to the hospital as the wife goes into early labor. The story revolves around a specific family who later grows on to form beautiful families off their own. The show has some amazing characters with huge character developments and some very emotional scenes. It is very easy to be able to relate to any character on the show and to fall in love with them within just a few episodes. Overall, I would describe the show as very heart-warming and something that I would definitely recommend everyone to watch. Rating: 4.5/5
