I thought this book would expand on the documentary that was based on it; not sure where that originally aired but it's on YouTube for anyone who is interested in the subject. The documentary did a really good job of covering all the basics. The book does go into more details, but it is SO dryly written that I had to force myself to finish it and I don't feel like I learned anything new from it. It's written as nothing more or less than a series of facts, events, dates, names... which is informative but SO boring. I would recommend the documentary and I don't doubt or disagree with the book itself, but unless you're into really dull reads this is one of the very few instances where the "movie" is better than the book.
